Sweet Sunday Sketch #52

Good Morning Everyone! Eventhough this is a three-day weekend for most, I do not fall into that category. So I am sad that this is the last day of my weekend but very happy with the card I made this morning.

I decided to try my first Sketch Challenge. I came across Sweet Sunday Sketch #52 and decided to make it my first one. It was really nice not having to think about how to lay things out, all I had to do was figure out what papers I wanted to use.

My nephew had a baby girl this past Friday and so I needed to get a Baby Card made. I started with my Patchpal Elephant stamp that I just received from Clear Dollar Stamps. Since I hadn't used my Prisma Colored Pencils yet, I decided to try them out on this little guy.

I used Ribbon Block Letters that I got a long time ago and unfortunately, do not remember the name of the company that makes them, to spell out her name.

I added 2 Basic Grey Pink Buttons and tied a bow in one with white string and the other I added a "New Baby" charm.

I really like the way this card turned out and will definitely start getting into more Sketch Challenges.

First Posted Copic Coloring

Lately I have been trying out Copic Markers and learning how to blend. This is an Anniversary card that I created for a co-worker.

I used the Tilda Blowing Hearts stamp. I used E0000, E000, E00, and E11 for her face, hands and legs. Her dress and socks were colored with R20, R21, R22, R24, and R27. The hearts were colored wth R43 and R46 and her hair was colored with E21, E25, E27 and E29.

I used my Oval Nestabilities to cut her out and then to cut out a scalloped Oval out of Pink Cardstock. I added some Prima Flowers and a "To Love and To Cherish" charm.

I am excited to do more colorings and you should see more postings in the future.

Happy Birthday - Golf Balls

I made the golf ball holder based on a pattern on Split Coast Stampers. I revised the dimensions to accommodate the amount of golf balls I wanted to put in the container. The card was made with matching papers that were in my stash. The blacked out portion is where I had the name of the recipient of the gift.

Babies Are Heaven Sent

Happy Weekend Everyone! There were reports of snow here in Florida today but all I saw was sleet and rain.

As the new year begins, babies are popping up all around me and there are more to come. I wanted to do a simple Baby card for a co-worker's new baby.

I started with Ivory Card Stock and my new Simple Valentine stamp set from Papertrey Ink. I stamped the Heart border in Sweet Blush and added two scores lines underneath. I stamped ""Babies are Heaven Sent" in Dark Chocolate from the Bitty Baby Blessings stamp set. I added a pink button and charm from my stash tied in a bow with natural hemp.

The beginning

I have fallen in love with everyone's blogs that I view and have decided to do one of my own. It will be simple in the beginning until I get the hang of it but here we go......................
